The Moon's Orbit
The Moon orbits around the Earth in a clockwise direction, while the Earth is orbiting the Sun in this same direction. Once a year the Earth orbits the Sun and once a day the Earth orbits its axis. It takes approximately 27.322 days or one month for the Moon to complete its axis and approximately 27 days to complete its orbit.
