The Moon
The Moon is the Earth's only natural satellite and is 384, 400 km away from the Earth. It has a huge impact on our planet while it is also constantly orbiting around us. Scientists suggest that the Moon formed when a large object hit the Earth and bounced back off in the form of rocks. These rocks then merged together and began orbiting the Earth. The moon is approximately 123 Celsius during the daytime, whereas during the night time it can drop to -233 Celsius and is over 4.5 billion years old! We are able to view the Moon because the Sun reflects light off it that bounces back to Earth.
